We are currently seeking dedicated volunteers to mentor young people aged 11 to 16 in local schools through MAPS Mentoring, an award-winning scheme that has been making a difference in the London Borough of Sutton for over 30 years. As a mentor, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their academic goals and grow in confidence, offering guidance, encouragement, and a consistent, supportive presence. This is a rewarding opportunity to have a lasting impact on a young person’s life. Mentors are asked to commit to just one hour per week during school hours, during term time, for up to one year. We are looking for volunteers to work in our mobile shop at The Royal Marsden in Sutton. The mobile shop is a really important service for patients and families on the wards, providing items which help make their stay in hospital more comfortable.

Walk and Talk Buddy Volunteers accompany a client on a leisurely weekly walk (in the client’s local area) for up to 12 weeks. The aim is to give vulnerable and isolated older people in Sutton the confidence to get back outside again, improve their fitness and re-engage with their community.

Shop volunteers support the shop manager and fellow volunteers to give the best possible service to our customers for the success of our shops.
