We are looking for volunteers to work in our charity hub at The Royal Marsden, Sutton. Visitors to The Royal Marsden will be able to approach the charity hubs to find out more about The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, make donations and buy merchandise.

As a play assistant you will work 1:1 or 2:1 with two children (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) on specific targets and create learning opportunities through play and fun in a natural environment setting. Play assistants will be paired with a specific child based on experience and qualifications. The age range is 3 to 16 years.

As a Ward Support Volunteer, your role will be to enhance the patient's experience during their stay at The Royal Marsden (Sutton). Help us deliver the very best services and improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

This is a critical strategic role with responsibility for financial issues of the charity including, helping to set setting budgets, financial reporting, supporting fundraising activities, and drafting and signing off the annual accounts. The finances and reporting should be in line with the Charity Commission guidelines. Your expertise will help support the successful delivery of current activities, and help us make sustainable plans for the future.

If you are over 18, have a willingness to support families achieve positive changes, an understanding of the effects domestic abuse has on adults and children and are able to build trusting relationships and offer emotional and practical support then we’d love to hear from you.
