Volunteers will work closely with the staff, horses, coaches and riders. You can tack up and untack the horses, then lead the riders in their lessons. Some volunteers prefer just to assist in the lessons, rather than prepare the horses. We also need side walkers for each rider, sometimes two for each pony.

A Local Group is a team of people who share our passion for livelihood creating tools, and gather to collect tools from their area. Many also arrange tool collections at local supermarkets, DIY stores and garden centres. Many also offer talks to local community groups and even speak on local radio. Some groups sort the tools before arranging collection, and some even do some refurbishment, such as grinding off rust and fixing loose handles.

Are you available for 2 or 3 hours a week to be a Befriending & Supportive Listening Volunteer? As a Befriending volunteer you will offer a weekly telephone call to provide supportive listening to patients and /or companion visits for patient attending appointments /clinics on their own. Patients will have been referred by our psychological services team or clinical teams for those in their care that may need some extra for support.
