The Meals on Wheels service needs volunteer drivers and escorts for the meals on wheels vans to deliver food to local elderly people. One of weekly shifts or multi dependent on the volunteers availability.

A team of volunteers are renovating an old Victorian walled garden at The Lodge in Carshalton. Current jobs include weeding, establishing new paths and we'll soon need to start repairing the walls, planting, maintenance of the newly emerging vegetable garden. Walled gardening task days happen on one Saturday and Sunday per month.

The Access Project supports students from under-resourced backgrounds to access top universities. We are looking for volunteer tutors to work with a young person aged 14-16, for one hour a week through the 2025-26 academic year.

To support our staff in our Orangery Cafe to prepare food and refreshments for staff, volunteers, patients, those important to them and other visitors.

The role includes serving customers with made to order food and hot drinks, taking payment and cleaning/washing up during and at the end of shift.

As a Volunteer Telephone Befriender, you’ll help improve the quality of life for older people who are socially isolated and may feel lonely. You’ll call once a week to have a chat for about half an hour to help the person feel less isolated. You’ll also encourage them to access services and facilities within their community.
