The Lead Volunteer leads and inspires the 1st Cheam Scout Group’s team of volunteers and supports the wider Group to ensure it runs effectively and provides great opportunities and fun activities for young people in ages 6yrs through to 14yrs, and that Scouting within the Group develops in accordance with the rules and policies of The Scout Association. This role can be immensely satisfying and rewarding by making a real difference to the development of young people in our community.

Help to maintain and nurture the gardens and grounds at St Raphael's Hospice

We are looking for volunteers who can help us with garden maintenance including planting, cutting back, weeding, fence painting, sweeping up & watering the pots from March to September.

As a Volunteer Telephone Befriender, you’ll help improve the quality of life for older people who are socially isolated and may feel lonely. You’ll call once a week to have a chat for about half an hour to help the person feel less isolated. You’ll also encourage them to access services and facilities within their community.

This is a critical strategic role with responsibility for financial issues of the charity including, helping to set setting budgets, financial reporting, supporting fundraising activities, and drafting and signing off the annual accounts. The finances and reporting should be in line with the Charity Commission guidelines.
