Deliver tours to a wide range of people including general visitors and scheduled exclusive out of hours tours. Learn and retell the stories of the house and it’s fascinating history Recognise and assist visitors who may need help to ensure they have a memorable, comfortable and enjoyable visit. Play a part in safeguarding the property and the objects within it.

Befrienders will meet people outside their homes, and go out locally together to do activities chosen by members. This could be going for a walk, cycling round the park, or helping with grocery shopping. As a volunteer Befriender you'll offer support and friendship to adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. Members of the scheme may also have a physical or sensory disability, and mental health needs.
