Whitehall Historic House is a Tudor building & has an important role in the Cheam local community. We are seeking Front of House Volunteers to welcome visitors to the building & offer a high level of customer service as they explore the House. You may be asked to lead short tours around the building to individuals & groups. Training will be provided.

Meeting patients at the bedside and gathering song requests from them, their visitors and the ward staff.

SPRING IS ON ITS WAY...Do you love walking and talking, how about trying our befriending role as a walking buddy to support a visually impaired person in Sutton. We have one-to-one arrangements during the week or organised park walks at Nonsuch, Beddington and The Grove on Fridays.

Walk and Talk Buddy Volunteers accompany a client on a leisurely weekly walk (in the client’s local area) for up to 12 weeks. The aim is to give vulnerable and isolated older people in Sutton the confidence to get back outside again, improve their fitness and re-engage with their community.

MAPS (Mentoring, Advocacy and Peer Support) is early intervention 1-2-1 mentoring programme, run by Volunteer Centre Sutton, working with local children and young people who are facing challenging circumstances or have complex needs. Under the MAPS Mentoring project, Mentors provide each young person on the programme with a safe space and dedicated time to talk, as well as an opportunity to expand their horizons.

We are looking for retail assistants to help in our QEF charity shop, situated on Banstead’s busy high street, which sells a wide range of donated goods.

The County Ambassador will work with our Volunteering Coordinator to support our team of local volunteers (the people who collect tools, speak on our behalf and represent us in churches and community groups.), Recruit new volunteers and Promote our work locally.

Volunteers from the League of Friends are based in the hospital corridors, to be a visible source of help and guidance. You will be answering questions and giving directions to patients and visitors.
