As a Stockroom Volunteer, you will help our friendly shop team by sorting, checking, and making the most of the fantastic variety of donated items in our friendly shop. Best of all you’ll be raising vital funds to support people facing poverty around the world.

You will be the first point of contact for people in your community seeking advice and information on how to resolve their problems on a range of issues including welfare benefits, debt, housing, employment, consumer as well as other areas. You will be fully trained and supported at all times, and have the opportunity to learn about people's contractual and statutory rights as well as honing your communication, people and IT skills in a friendly and supportive environment. Many of our volunteers have used their experience with us to secure paid employment. So as well as helping your local community you will also get something back.

If you are over 18, have a willingness to support families achieve positive changes, an understanding of the effects domestic abuse has on adults and children and are able to build trusting relationships and offer emotional and practical support then we’d love to hear from you.
