Contribute to the local community by using your skills to help recruit volunteers to help the 1st Cheam Scout Group deliver exciting opportunities to young people.

The County Ambassador will work with our Volunteering Coordinator to support our team of local volunteers (the people who collect tools, speak on our behalf and represent us in churches and community groups.), Recruit new volunteers and Promote our work locally.

Member of the Governing Board for Sherwood Park School - a warm and friendly, all age foundation special school, with high aspirations for our fantastic pupils. The Board act as critical friends to the Senior Leadership Team, providing strategic direction and challenge with oversight of the education provided by, and financial management of, the school. We are looking for Business Volunteers to support secondary school students, usually yr 12, to run their own company in school in our Company or Team programme. Commitment is usually 1-1.5 hours a week, normally afternoons carried out by visiting the students in school and may be some virtual meetings. You'll help students to develop employability skills and knowledge of work roles through how they develop and sell a product or service.

Volunteers will work closely with the staff, horses, coaches and riders. You can tack up and untack the horses, then lead the riders in their lessons. Some volunteers prefer just to assist in the lessons, rather than prepare the horses. We also need side walkers for each rider, sometimes two for each pony.
